New Delhi: Fiona MacKeown, mother of Scarlette Keeling, is seeking a third forensic test on her daughter's body.

She wants the test to be done in the UK. She had earlier sought a CBI probe into Scarlette's death.

The 15-year-old from Britain was found dead on the Anjuna beach on February 18. Since then two forensic tests have been conducted.

One of them said she was murdered and did not die of drug overdose.

The police have arrested two people on charges of rape and murder in the case. MacKeown says she will come to India in the future also if the government allows her to.

Earlier, under pressure over its mishandling of the probe into the killing of Scarlett, the Goa government said it is not averse to a CBI investigation of the murder.

State Home Minister Ravi Naik announced it in the Assembly on Tuesday and repeated the assurance later while speaking to the media.

Scarlette's family had accused Naik of trying to derail the murder probe. The minister claims the police are now close to cracking the case.

"We have provided her the police protection as she had communicated to us in writing that there is fear to her life from drug mafia," Superintendent of Police Bosco George said

Fiona had earlier expressed fears to her life from the drug cartel as according to her, she had exposed the drug trade in the state.
