Satwant Singh I think what school is doing is right. I have studied in Hindu school and kids including teachers made fun of me of wearing patka and calling sardar ji. How humilating it is for 10 year old kid going through all this.
Now when sikhs are trying to build up their schools with sikh identity there are issues.
I agree with the school authorities as it is a private school to dictate their own terms as the Christian, Hindus and other religions are allowed.

p_v_namjoshi We are heading toward ectrims. We have lost our reasoning and logical power. Why turban be compulsory for any one. What is the use of turban, growing bird or mustaches by any one and in particularly by non Sikhs. Times have changed and Hindu mythology has also changed and Hindus have rightly adopted the prevailing atmosphere. There is no purpose to show strength of religion. the religion cannot remain static also. We must change our attitude. Why sikhs show rescindment when Canadian govt. issues some orders which does not appeal to Sikh community.
