New Delhi: India's date with Australian Open champion Serena Williams will have to wait for some more time.

Serena, suffering from high temperature and flu, pulled out of the Sony Ericsson WTA Bangalore Open, which is scheduled to begin on Monday.

The American had won the first Grand Slam of the year, the Australian Open in January.

Sania Mirza would be the star attraction in the tournament that will be held at the Karnataka State Lawns.
