New York: An Indian born fashion designer, Anand Jon has been indicted in New York on charges of sodomy and sexual and physical assault of nine more women. The fresh charges involve assault on girls as young as 14 years of age, between 2002 and 2004.

Earlier, a California court had charged John with sexually assaulting 18 young models in the state. He is presently in police custody in the Los Angeles county jail, facing trial.

Jon’s has in the past been indicted by a Los Angeles County grand jury on 54 felony and five misdemeanor charges, prosecutors said.

Anand Jon Alexander, who is a well-known popular designer, and known to have worked with Paris and Nicky Hilton, Mary J Blige and other such celebrities, had been targeting women who came looking for work opportunities to New York.

Though Alexander has denied the charges in Los Angeles, however the New York District attorney has sent an arrest warrant for Jon, refusing to accept any bail applications from him.
