Shammi Kapoor honoured at Osian Film Festival

YESTERYEAR'S HEARTTHROB: Aamir says, Elvis is America's answer to Shammi Kapoor.
Mumbai: The 10th Osian Cinefan Film Festival's Mumbai edition took place on Saturday night and the festival had a grand finale.
Veteran actor Shammi Kapoor was felicitated at the closing of the night and the evening's biggest surprise came when Actor Aamir Khan showed up to share a clap.
Aamir was all praises for Shammi uncle, "Often it's said that he's India's answer to Elvis Presley. But I disagree I feel Elvis is America's answer to Shammi Kapoor" he said.
And while Aamir was at his wittiest best, the legendary actor humbly offered his thanks to all.
"I feel very happy, I feel very honoured , all my friends from the film industry have come here from my past and present," said the the yesteryear's heartthrob of Bollywood.
"It's so wonderful to see his film. The freedom with which he acts, the way he performs, the belief with which he gives his shots. He is one of the most amazing actors Indian cinema has," says Aamir.
Another highlight to the grand finale was the premiere of director Mani Shanker's Mukhbir which was certainly overshadowed by Amir's star power.
But nevertheless film buffs can catch it in Delhi when the festival travels to the Capital next month.
