TO KILL A CHIEF: The police has said that 2 Kg of RDX were used on the attack.
New Delhi: Haryana police are blaming Bakshish Singh of the Sikh extremist outfit, the Khalistan Commando Force, for Saturday’s attack on Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.
Police say two kilograms of RDX were used in the attack and are looking out for the Khalistan militant, who is currently out on parole.
The Dera chief narrowly escaped when a bomb was hurled at his convoy near Karnal. He was returning from Ambala when the bomb, concealed in a tyre, was thrown from a truck at his convoy leaving 11 injured, which included six guards.
After the attack Dera supporters blocked National Highway 1 between Karnal and Sirsa in Haryana, where the Dera is headquartered.
They also burnt several vehicles and clashed with the police in several pockets.
