MAMATA EMPOWERS: The growing political support for Mamata is definitely a cause of worry for the Left government in West Bengal.
Singur, WB: Firebrand Trinamool Congress (TC) leader Mamata Banerjee is on an indefinite dharna near the Tata plant in Singur. She has been joined by the Samajwadi party's (SP) Amar Singh, activists Medha Patkar and Arundhati Roy among others. The mood in Singur is upbeat. A few kilometres away at the village in Berabari Purbapara, that has been taken away for the Nano plant, these villager too is fighting the same battle and they have refused to accept compensation for the land lost. The political support is increasing for Mamata and is definitely a cause of worry for the Left.
