Taare Zameen Par starring Aamir Khan and Darsheel Safary has been chosen India's official entry to compete in the Best Foreign Language film category at the 81st Annual Academy Awards. The film is the directorial debut of actor Aamir Khan. The selection committee headed by filmmaker Suneel Darshan said the choice was unanimous.
