GORY END: Pakistani Taliban get ready to execute two Afghans for their alleged spying for US forces.
New Delhi: Taliban terrorists in Bajaur, northwest Pakistan, slit the throat of two Afghans in public on Friday.
The Taliban accused them of being spies for the United States of America. The Taliban believes that US forces used information passed on to them by the two Afghans to carry out a missile strike in Damadola in May in which 18 people were killed.
The accused, one of them a former Taliban fighter, were brought before a crowd near Damadola for the execution.
Bajaur, the province in which Damadola is located, is a hotbed for Taliban supporters.
Taliban leader Qari Zia-ur Rahman warned the crowd that those who spied for the US would meet the same fate.
After the execution, shooting broke out amongst the crowd, killing two and injuring seven others.
The reason for the shootout is still not clear.
Though public executions such as this one are rare, terrorists have in the past killed many people on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border suspected of spying for the US.
