Tamil Nadu: 4 babies die after measles vaccine shot

New Delhi: Four 10-month-old babies in a Tamil Nadu village died within minutes of being administered an anti-measles shot.
Three baby girls and a baby boy later died at a medical centre in a village about 75 km from Chennai.
The Tamil Nadu government has announced Rs 3 lakh as compensation for the four families.
The government has ordered a probe and says it will wait for the test results.
Soon after the incident, the state suspended the use of that particular batch of vaccine across the state.
