I want to ask people who shouting faul for Tasleema, are they aware of,what Tasleema written.I totally agree with all the people who believe in Freedom of Expression, but it is not allowed in the name of freedom that one had got the right of HURTING so many people who follows Islam. If she criticised some indivisuals that o.k, we have no objection but she has litterary insulted our PROPHET who is more valuable than anything in the world for us.I also want to say that if she is that stature of writer then why she has been thrown out of her own country.I also want to ask people who are supporting Tasleema that for a outsider refugee you all people hurting your own MUSLIM brother &sister of your own country,is a outsider is more important than your own countrymen. One of her freind said that Tasleema wright only what she think true, then why she wright two differnt books for two country, the book published in Bangladesh have remove her controversial part but for the book published in India she litrely add the controversial coment, please what we think of such a double standard women, she is doing this sort of thing for name &fame.I also want to ask Tasleema that she ever read Quraan, because one who has read Quraan can never said things like her.

These authors are a pones in the grand design of making Islam acceptable in some minds. While the jihadis do their work. If she was really a threat then she would have been removed as she said. When she says she is not afraid is because she knows that nothing is going to happen to her. There are two faces to this war called Jihad. And the face of Taslima is used to give some Hope to those who are trying to find solution to the Islamic Problem. If Indian government gives her a citizenship then after a few years she would become the moderate voice of Islam in India and the same BJP would have to critisize her. And the entire India would go against BJP, since it is asking for the citizenship for her. Wake up, cogress is doing the right thing, she should be kept only on the oxygen of 6 months of visa. And all the state government run by BJP should push her out to secular state governments...

I agree with Taslima's view on religion. She is bold enough to express her views. She should be given the citizenship. We are tired of religious fanatism.

I congratulate Taslima Nasreen for boldly expressing her views on religion in general and on Islam in particular. As the author of 'Why I am Not a Hindu' and as a humanist, I think Taslima deserves support from all humanists of India as well as of whole world. Even those democrats who are not humanists must support her freedom of expression, whether they agree with her or not. India is a secular democracy. We have to protect her freedom of expression including the right to criticize religion.

Taslima stood for truth which is difficult for several people to absorb. Those who wish to stand by human rights and values should accept her views as rational and it is time to practice them. Religions are bane to humans. spirit of inquiry and quest for truth is the order of the day. only scientific temper as envisaged by Taslima will help people .

Subash
This is the first time I am seeing an interview of Taslima and she hugely disappointed me. I can't imagine the writer of Lajja can be so stupid and illogical. What a shame! She should be given asylum in India on humanitarian considerations, but I don't think she does not belong to the league of respected writers.

Mr. India
I think this lady need to read the Quran. She has surely not read the Quran. Quran never says that Woman should be deprived of her father's property neither it allows to kill other non-believers. If she can pprove this then I will take back my words. Taslima read the Quran first and then give your comments. No religion says this.

Oh yes....
Moderate Muslims really dont have any idea of Islam... Or perhaps you are Afraid, because Moderate muslims are pointing towards Medina koran... instead of mecca part... and targeting it....
what ever, we hindus dont use Manu smriti... Christians have new Bible... and if Muslims are working to reform islam... then we support it.
anyways why you are so angry... she haven't commented against 6th century nomads or against God.. neither she had betrayyed islam, as she haven't converted to any other religion. its just a comment. that she is not interested to follow any religion.
anyways its well known by us, the ideology laid by "Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Mosavi Khomeini", Dr. Homa Darabi Foundation had already laid a lot info about the ideology...... and i also know the theories that had indocrinated peoples in other mosques...
this women is absolutely right... and if you think she has no idea... then who had idea ? anyways its too long we are hearing... Islam has been misinterpreted.... at least her misintepretation is far better then the interpretation of followers of true Islam.....
What ever, we had seen a fatwa against her... but why no fatwa is raised against those muslims.. who are promoting terror ? at last, i support her voice.
