Tasleema Nasreen deserves citizenship in India. She was persecuted in her home country. India has a past of accomodating refugees in their time of peril.

I feel Ms Tasleema Nasreen can certainly be given Indian citizenship if she solemnly affirms her faith in the Indian Constitution and promises to uphold it always.She should also pledge to respect the National Tricolour and swear to uphold its'dignity at all times.

Indian government should grant Ms. Taslima Nasreen with Indian citizenship or permanent resident status, beacuse as there are so many Pakistani Pop singers and Bangladeshi`s who has made India their second home then why not Ms. Nasreen when she is asking it legally.

What she has written is not on volatile issues but truth. She wrote some truth which our Indian writers dare not. Here writing are for pleasing political personalities so that a tenure in Award Committees, Sangeeta Nadaka/ Sahitya Academies etc. Try to respect those who tell the truth. It is a good quality.
