knowsnotmuch Uhhh, in a word, the response to all that "Corporate" posted is "NO".

The master stroke Dhiru did was corporatize greed by going public. He washed all his dirt through public participation. The shareholders of Reliance were just a means to an end - that of legitimizing his greed.

One man making money through any means is a crook.
One man making money through any means for shareholders is a Business visionary.

Well his rags to riches story is phenomenal - but we need to keep one thing in mind - if anything is too good to be true - it probably is not.

Corporate What the hell everybody is talking about the ethics and morale. Everyone who has written about this on this blog has taken favours from one or the other to secure a job. And guys everything is fair in love, war and BUSINESS, and today doing business is not different from going on war. That's what we have been taught, SAAM, DAAM, DAND, BHED.

Aparna A employee professional is most identified by the image/deeds of his employer company first and then his/her personal skills. I wonder what it means, in the industry today, to be seen as a "Professional with vast experience in Reliance". And i hope Reliance does something to correct this image since it cannot hope to buy people's skill (at least professional skills) always with this kind of image haunting it. Esp. with MNCs, having deeper pockets, coming into India who have a better record in corporate governance.

sandy I believe everyone does it albeit in different proportions and adopts different techniques. Only caught cases are highlighted and discussed like this. Though i genuinely believe Tatas'Birlas'Infosys are having a bit different image in the corporate world. I believe no Law can stop all this from happening.

s muthusubramanian this is a very routine corporate strategies pursued

by every company ; the only difference is that every

player employes different tactics and there are enough

blacksheep in every company. osama bin laden has

the audacity to claim that his men have

sneaked into no less than the CIA. just take

this as occupational hazard.
