TO BE THE BEST: Rajdeep Sardesai wins the Best News Anchor Award.
New Delhi: IBNLive won the Best News Website Award and CNN-IBN the Best English News Channel of the Year Award at the annual News Television (NT) awards in Delhi on Saturday evening.
CNN-IBN’s Editor-in-Chief Rajdeep Sardesai won the Best News Anchor Award. The channel swept the awards ceremony winning accolades for its shows, documentaries and special reports.
CNN-IBN’s Entertainment Editor Rajeev Masand got the Best Entertainment Critic Award.
Face the Nation, the show that debates the day’s most important, won the Best Presented Popular News show.
Devil's Advocate, the Sunday interview show hosted by Karan Thapar, won the award for Best News/Current Affairs Show.
Zindagi Live, the talk show on CNN-IBN’s sister channel IBN7, won the Best Talk Show in Hindi Award.
Instituted last year, the NT Awards recognise and honours news channels and professionals in the country. The NT Awards, instituted by indiantelevision.com, is an annual event and this year’s edition covers the period between April 1, 2007 and March 31, 2008.
