Even if you haven't seen the earlier two films in the series, you really should watch The Bourne Ultimatum because it's such an intelligent thriller.

Continuing the journey he began in the first film, Jason Bourne is back on the trail of his elusive identity and this time he's determined to get some answers. His search, once again takes him across the globe - London, New York, Paris, Madrid, Moscow, Tangier, Turin.

Now although the plot of the film isn't exactly path-breaking in any way, it's got that nail-biting edge-of-the-seat quality that gives it such an advantage when compared to most other films in the same genre.

Thrillers these days just aren't intelligent enough, and to be honest they're not very thrilling either, because I think we've all had enough of those blasts and explosions and fancy action scenes.

The Bourne films, however, have always been grittier and a little more believable than most thrillers, and much of the credit for that goes to Matt Damon who's really not your typical blockbuster action star.

He actually makes you care for the character, and makes you take that journey with him. What you'll enjoy most about The Bourne Ultimatum are those cat-and-mouse chase scenes, whether it's that masterfully plotted one in London 's Waterloo Station, or then that gripping one through a Moroccan city.

The piece de resistence, is undoubtedly that car chase in the end which is so immediate and spontaneous, you'll remember it long after you've left your seat.

I'm going with four out of five and a recommendation not to miss The Bourne Ultimatum, it's a great weekend watch, and a film you'll probably want to watch more than once just to relive the excitement all over again.

Rating: 4 / 5 (Very Good)
