Two IIM students drown in MP river

THAT SINKING FEELING: A video grab from a mobile phone recording captures the IIM students drowning.
New Delhi: A Saturday evening meant for recreation went awry for a group of students from Indian Institute of Management-Indore (IIM-I) when two of their friends drowned while swimming in the city’s Choral river.
Neha Singh from Hyderabad and Nitesh Agarwal from Delhi, both second year postgraduate students at IIM-I, had gone for a picnic on riverside with a group of friends.
They reportedly decided to go for a swim, but were swept away by the strong current, their cries muffled in the roar and crash of waves.
While Nitesh’s body was recovered late on Saturday night, army divers and fire brigade teams from neighbouring Mhow were still looking for Neha body.
A case has been registered at Simrol Police Station.
On Thursday, two students of a private dental college drowned in the river. Their bodies were recovered the next day.
