Two murdered over business feud, accused absconding

MONEY MATTERS: The victims were in discussion with their partner who reportedly killed them
Noida: A businessman and his brother-in-law were shot dead late on Monday night in Greater Noida. The new industrial township of Greater Noida is adjacent to the national capital though it is a part of Uttar Pradesh.
The two victims, Omvir Rathi and Vicky were allegedly gunned down by another relative, Mahesh. The police say that they have reason to believe that it is over a property dispute.
Rathi and Vicky had partnered a steel manufacturing company along with the accused. The victims had a difference of opinion with Mahesh.
A compromise meeting had been called by both parties on Monday evening, but it ended in the murders.
Police officials say Mahesh shot the two after a heated argument.
Both victims were rushed to a hospital in Ghaziabad but were declared brought dead.
A case of murder has been registered against Mahesh. But the accused and his suspected accomplices are still absconding.
“We know who the culprits are and we have registered a case. The arrests will be made soon,” promised SSP, Noida, RK Chaturvedi.
The police are on the hunt for the absconding suspects.
