It is rather unfortunate that Vanadana had to go this ordeal. My prayers are with her. Wishing her a speedy recovery
All most every news channel had a live telecast of the rescue operations and was criticizing the apathy of the civic authorities. This is not the first incident of this sort. While the media has telecasted the rescue operations whenever such an incident has occurred in the past, the doubt remains whether they have really done anything to find out people responsible for these mishaps and whether have they been brought to task. These bore wells ought to be closed if they are unused or abandoned and someone ought to be responsible for this, and if they shirk their responsibility, they should be punished for their negligence. While the media is doing a good job of criticizing, I believe they should also follow up after the incident to make sure that the culprits are punished.

It is nice that the kid has been saved. Now who will look into the issue of how and why this happened. Is it the negligence of the kid’s elders or the people who made the hole without properprecautions? A little bit of precaution would have saved the agony of the parents and the resources used to rescue the child.

Great work once again by our mighty Indian Army :-) Thanks for being there for all of us every time... God bless the little girl, and now its high time, that our civil authorities and government ensure that nothing such occur in future.
