Bangalore: Apart from Dr Mohd Haneef, the other two people who are being questioned in the UK terror plot case are Kafeel and brother Sabeel Ahmed.

Kafeel Ahmed, who was badly burned during the attack on Glasgow airport, has been shifted to a Special Burns Unity in Glasgow.

His brother Sabeel was arrested in Liverpool. They are distant cousins of Haneef. In India their families are facing the fallout.

It's a shocked neighbourhood – the residents find it hard to believe that the two next-door boys could actually be involved in terrorist activities.

All that the regulars at the mosque across the road in front of Kafeel and Sabeel's home, can recall is that the duo had come to Bangalore after schooling in Saudi Arabia, and soon had left for the UK for higher studies.

“As far as we knew the boys were good. They came to Namaz regularly,” says one neighbour.

“We say shoot such people. One person does something like this, and brings disrepute to our entire community, to Karnataka, to India,” says another neighbour.

As hatred and anger consumed the minds of people, the family of the brothers - Kafeel and Sabeel - had to be escorted out of their homes by their lawyer and taken away to an unknown place.

Their distraught mother refuses to talk to anyone but police officials say they believe their son was not involved.

Sources say the Bangalore police are on with their probes based on Indian Intelligence information.

It’s an investigation that's yielded new developments almost every hour.

Though they have not been contacted by the UK police, the Bangalore police has begun parallel investigations as they fear Kafeel and Sabeel could have links with other modules of terror groups.

But so far indications are they developed these contacts only after going to the UK.
