Bangalore: The British High Commissioner to India, Sir Michael Arthur, says the United Kingdom will issue four lakh multiple-entry visas to Indians this year.

This means that a single visa can be used to visit the UK more than once.

Speaking at the IT fair in Bangalore, Sir Arthur said, ?We have crossed the three lakh mark already and there are still two months to go before the year ends. We plan to issue another four lakh visas.?

"The number of visas given to India is more than the number given to any country in the world. It is an all-time record," he added.

Arthur said the bilateral trade is set to cross $ 10 billion in the current financial year.
