VILLIAN OF THE PEICE: Head constable Shyampal, who is related to the victim, has been suspended.
Ghaziabad: A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a police head constable at the Sahibabad police station, a senior police officer said on Saturday.
Head constable Shyampal, who is related to the victim, picked her up from Bhajanpura on the pretext of recording her statement in a police case.
He then took her to the Sahibabad police station and allegedly raped her
A medical examination conducted confirms rape.
Shyampal has been suspended and a case has been registered at Sahibabad police station last night, he said.
SSP L Ravikumar has also issued an arrest warrant against accused Shyampal.
