New Delhi: The Election Commission has not been advised to hold repolling in any booth during the first phase of the UP Assembly elections on Saturday.

Election Commission observers have not recommended repelling, said State Additional CEO Devesh Chaturvedi in Lucknow on Sunday.

UP Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav has replied to the Commission’s notice for his speech in Lalitpur on March 30.

The Commission has decided to permit the star campaigners of the recognised political parties to use party flags on their vehicles, while a state wide permission will be given on use of a particular vehicle during their campaign.

Now the expenditure of video publicity vans used by the political parties will be included in the poll expense of the respective candidates in the constituency where the van goes for publicity.

The Election Commission will review the poll preparation for the Phase-III polling in Uttar Pradesh at Bareilly on April 10, said Chaturvedi.
