New Delhi: Samajwadi party MLAs in Uttar Pradesh found a rather unique way to protest against the Mayawati government.
They carried black flags and black balloons inside the State Assembly that had assembled for the budget session on Friday.
Not only that they engaged in sloganeering targeting the Mayawati government for her alleged failures and disrupted proceedings in the house.
Following the incident the Speaker of the assembly decided that from now on MLAs entering the Vidhan Sabha would be frisked.
UP Home Secretary will be holding an inquiry as to how did the MLAs manage to bring flags and balloons inside the Vidhan Sabha.
Security at the assembly is the responsibility of the SSP of Lucknow. The Speaker has now said that the SSP will be held responsible if a similar incident happens in the future.
