everyone has his/ her constituency in terms of voters and whosoever wins the elections are the choice of those people who votes. The people who does not excercise their right of votes better should not complain.

B S GANESH BANGALORE All elections in our country are like lotteries only some lose and some gain. What is essentially required in Independent and democratic India is corruption fre governance and uplifting of por people. Instead of this we we get more richer people and more poor people due to corruption. and cost of living increases. Copurts are busy and overloaded and are not able o help also

impulsive Its a great irony that ,if a person applying for government jobs, specially in sensitive posts, his background is checked thoroughly y the police, including his fingerprints and can be disqualified if he has got any previous criminal convictions. Also a government official can be suspended if he is in police custody for more than 48 hours. But all such rules are not implied on the MPs,who contest elections behind bars,i think india is the only country where criminals can contest elections, even they are jailed, no wonder we are still a developing nation and a laughing stock internationally.

Siva Ganesh Poosarla I donot blame the Don winners,I donot blame the voters
The Don winners are doing their job with the way they were educated.
The Voters are the poor people kept under controll of the Winner Dons for generations. Because the winner Dons participate in elections changing the party every time. The voters may be voting for different parties but for the same Dons.Every one in the country should Blame Constitation or Government policies in partcular Law.
How a convicted or rowdy sheeter allowed to contest in elections? unless everyone in constitution from top to bottom are from the same Don family. Hate Indian Policies made for Dons.

more Dr Nandakumar Moorkath 1)What else can one expect when majority of voters are illiterates and ignorant and when the literate voters remain at home during the polls???
2)All right-thinking citizens and patriots must take a hard look at this indian-style democracy and reform the system urgently!
3) A party with just 30 percent of votes gets the mandate to rule the state or nation when 70 percent people or voters do not approve the winner!
4) Just 50 percent of voters vote and hence 50 percent of eligible voters do not do their duty to the nation!
5) Time to see how many of those who voted had the knowledge or education as to what was right for them and what was not right for them and with majority being illiterates, is this election system itself credible or worthwhile?
6) Now, all parties and citizen groups and organizations must come together and plug the deficiencies and limit the right of franchise to only those who have an Intermediate degree or above so that only informd voters choose their representatives to rule the state and nation.
7) Voting must be made compulsory for all eligible voters and those who do not vote, without adequate reason, must be given deterrent punishment! Any one listening???
