New Delhi: As the five-day long fashion week came to its fag end, Bollywood stars were seen hovering around the fashion alley adding on to the glamour quotient. Iram Mirza caught hold of Urmila Matondkar and Sameera Reddy to get some quick style tips.
Iram Mirza: What brings you to the fashion week?
Urmila Matondkar: Anita Dongre is what brings me here. She has just finished work on my recent film Bus Ek Pal and she did a splendid job in it. I just saw her collection and she has lived up to all the expectations. Besides that, fashion week has all kinds lovely clothes to check out. It makes a wonderful experience.
Sameera Reddy: Anita (Dongre) does all my personal clothing. I almost fell in love with her collection that had a wonderful theme India Rocks. It shows a lot of patriotism and love for ones country that reflects in her collection.
Though I have to rush to Mumbai for my film Naksha, I will miss the fashion week, Manish Malhotra’s collection and Urmilla.
Iram Mirza: Talking about fashion, what is the difference between the clothes that you see on ramp and what you wear in movies?
Urmila Matondkar: There is not much difference really. That gap has been filled to a great extent. Unless you are doing an item that requires special attention, rest all what is worn in Bollywood is very trendy and in sync with today’s fashion.
Iram Mirza: Three fashion tips that you would give to the fashion conscious people out there?
Sameera Reddy: Firstly, you must love your body and know what would go perfect with it. Everything you wear reflects your attitude and personality. Secondly, you must wear balanced make-up. Too much make-up makes you look flashy. Last but not the least, one must have a good sleep. That is the best fashion tip I can give.
Iram Mirza: Thank you for giving those style tips.
Sameera Reddy: Thank you.
