New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday said that he expects Bangladesh to cooperate on investigating terror networks in India.

Mukherjee said Dhaka was regularly informed of terrorists operating from its territory through institutional mechanisms, including the recent meeting of Home Secretaries.

“During Home Secretary level talks we suggested to Bangladesh and gave particulars on those who are indulging in terrorist activities and insurgency. And we seek their cooperation,” Mukherjee said.

Bangladesh however, continues to deny the arrest of Harkat-ul-Jehad-e-Islami (HuJi) commander Abu Hamza in connection with the twin blasts in Hyderabad.

According to intelligence inputs, the Bangladesh Police have picked up Sharifuddin, alias Abu Hamza. Union Home Secretary Madhukar Gupta had said on Monday that information was being gathered on the reported arrest.

On Tuesday, a five-member special investigating team from Hyderabad was in Bangalore to conduct narco tests on two blast suspects.

Dr B M Mohan, Director Forensic Lab Bangalore, has said that narco tests were conducted on one of the suspects Syed Imran Khan while the test on the other suspect Rafique will be conducted on Wednesday.

Sources told CNN-IBN that during the test, Imran Khan revealed vital information about the Hyderabad blast and other previous blasts in South India.
