Mumbai: A huge crowd gathered to see stars Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor leading to a traffic jam in the Fort area of Mumbai and the police had to resort to a lathi charge to restore order.

The grapevine is currently rife with rumours of a budding romance between Saif and Kareena and a break-up between Kareena and long-time boyfriend Shahid Kapur.

According to sources the lady celebrated her 27th birthday on Friday with Saif and a few close friends sans Shahid.

However, Bollywood trade pundits are terming the link-up as a mere publicity stunt for Kareena's upcoming films.

As on the one hand, the Kareena-Shahid starrer Jab we met is ready for release, Vijay Krishna Acharya's Tashan is also slated to hit the box office soon. Now it remains to be seen if the publicity is really well-timed!
