Here’s a glimpse of Christmas celebrations from across the world. Pope Benedict lit a candle in his studio window at the Vatican as a symbol of peace on Christmas eve. The Pontiff also conducted the Christmas midnight mass in St. Peter's Basilica; Thousands of pilgrims gathered in Bethlehem for a Christmas mass promoted by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas; Thousands of children in the Bolivian capital La Paz, filled a local soccer stadium, where they were receiving Christmas gifts. A caravan of 26 gift-laden trucks arrived to drop the presents for underprivileged children. People have been reportedly waiting in line for almost two days to receive their gifts.
