Hi, I too am a victim of cheating by air deccan. I booked a ticket for my family members (5 tickets)in Second week of November for journey to pathankot 0n Jan.29 2007. and return ticket too. I received an SMS on Jan. 26 that flight is cancelled due to technical reason. My family decided not to visit Pathankot and in due course i cancelled return ticket too, initially they said u won,t be getting full refund of return ticket as per our policy.Later, they said u have not cancelled its a no show case. In air deccan if u have to speak in refund section you can only speak during working days and that too during working hours . Normal que number is more than 30 . After waiting for 30 minutes, phone gets disconnected. For a working person, its not possible to spare such time. Even if u contact thru their website, u get a message u have to register your complaint thru phone. Thru which it is impossible to reach. After number of efforts, i succeeded in getting e mail of the person from refund department, initially, he replied, enquired about details and informed my case to be no show case. I told him to atleast return my one side fare and taxes. He replied our system is under updation we will do this after some time.Now for past two weeks, my mail is not replied. For almost 5 months they are using my money, with no intention to return.

Hi Anu, I am also facing the same problem, the tkts from delhi to mumbai being cancelled almost abruptly and now they are crying all the way before refunding the amount, can u please publish the emsil id of ur contact person in the refund dept., so that I can also try and make some headway in the same.

It seems Air deccan is one of the most unethical companies. Even I am facing problems with my Refund. I had booked 2 tickets from Hyderabad to Mumbai through internet but couldn;t take a Printout of the ticket as there was some software upgradation happening in the airdeccan site.I had booked the ticket for 11th March'07. since I didn;t have the printout of the ticket I tried calling up the Call centre jut to confirm my ticket. BUt the experience with the call centre is horrible. I must have called some 5 times and each times holding the line for more than 30 mins but nobody picks up the line. YOu only get to your the same irritating IVR. I really want find out if they actually have a call centre or not. Finally on 11th march when I reached Airprt I was told that my flight was for 10th March and not 11th March. It was so disappointing!!!! I really doubt some problem in thier software for this goofup.. I then had to return to Mumbai by some other flight next day.After coming to Mumbai I went to the Airdeccan counter in the Airport and asked them for refund. And I was shocked to find out that thier systme shows that I had actually boraded the flight ( how ridiculous!!) I guess this is nothing but a case of overbooking.. But surprisingly, the person in the counter said that he has rolled back the refund amount into my credit card and it will be reflecing in my Card within a week. But the saddest part is even after two months now I have not received my refund and I dont see any hopes for the same also. I just wish that this company should get bankrupt one day for all the malpractices they are doing.

Air Deccan service is really poor and also doing fraud work. I am stating my personal incident. I had missed flight from Delhi on 24th March 2007, when gone for refund at counter, first the person sitting at Air Deccan Ticket( Danish) counter took my E-Ticket gone out for 25 minutes. I keep on requesting urgency for cancellation as I have to take another Flight. After coming back to counter he has told that he is having offer ticket in other’s name of next day he will sell to me but I need to travel as another person name, all the other security related to check in will be taken care by him and his team. It is just doing mockery of security system and breaking Government law and might be end up in compromising security of some many passenger. Also he confirmed me that he has cancelled my ticket but he has not given me confirmation document for the same, even on request. When cross checked visiting Air Deccan counter at Hyderabad to know the status, told me that my ticket has been rescheduled to next day and there is balance. THIS IS BIG FRAUD WITHOUT MY CONSENT HOW CAN THEY RESCHEDULED TICKET ALTHOUGH REQUESTED for cancellation. I visited 3 times at the counter and wasted almost 6 hours to get my refund but nothing happens, they didn’t cancelled my ticket. They took my photo identification just to get back on this issue on the day but till date there is no call and no action from AIR Deccan.
Person sitting at Air Deccan Counter in Hyderbad and Delhi are not having photo card for identification, when requested for name they told name Naina and Navya who are dealing with my issue.

I totally agree with Air deccan being a cheat airline.It is basically a little GLORIFIED FORM OF A LOCAL TAXI SERVICEI have faced both denial due to over booking and flight reschedule with no information.Better to pay more and have a peice of mind rather than for some less money and land in Sh...
GUYS LETS TOGETHER CURB THIS AIRLINE.

This over booking problem is not new to indian skies as otherwise claimed by Mr Gopinath. It is being done by all airlines. I have been a victim of the same at hands of Jet Airways for their flight dated 21st Nov'2006 , from Bangalore to Rajkot. By mistake of the Airline staff at Bangalore i was checked in till Mumbai instead of Rajkot. When i reached the check in counter of Jet Airways 40 minutes prior to departure at Mumbai Airport , though i was still in time i was told the flight is full and the Airport Manager at Mumbai clearly told us that it was a case of over booking and all airlines do it. I was given a full refund and hotel stay by Jet Airways for the lapse on their part and was taken to Rajkot next morning free of cost. But they at least admitted to their fault and were not lying as blatantly like Mr Gopinath. Mr Gopinath should look into lapses of his staff at Bangalore and take remedial actions ASAP.

Couple of months back, even I was denied to check-in to board a flight from Chennai to Mumbai. It was in early hours, departure time: 5:25 am. I was on their counter around 4:55 am but then, they said it is closed. I didn't even have any luggage & just a hand-bag. There were around 5 to 6 other passengers who were stopped. This seemed to me ridiculous but I guess the reasons could be: a. If we have more luggage which needs to go through security check & has to be uploaded into the plane, it does require a good amount of time for this process. b. The last air-deccan bus that takes passengers from boarding gateway to the flight is approximately 25-30 minutes before departure. So someone even trying to check-in 25 minutes prior to departure will defenitely miss the bus & there is no way the staff can take care of the passenger to help him board the flight because by then the flight would have already started its take-off operations. I may be trying to justify but then am sure there should be some measures taken to avoid disappointment of passengers.

hi, i am also one of the victim of air deccan. I had booked a ticket from bangalore to pune, (12:15 pm, 15th Feb) for which i reported to the air deccan officials 25 mins earlier to the departure time. But the guys there just didn't allowed me enter the checking counter, as i was 5 mins late instead they asked me to submit the ticket as soon as possible so as to get the remining money. 5 other guys came few minutes after me, late because of parking space, traffic or some other trivial reasons. I was late because of some If because of 5mins(25 mins before departure) they deny people from boarding the plane, how should we react when the air deccan planes are usually late by more than hours.

I too do not have a very good experience with AirDeccan ....
I went to Hyderabad airport to book a ticket to Goa. Unfortunately the person in the Counter told me that the computer is down and they do not take cash..
I asked them from when are you having this problem. They told me from 1 Month. I asked them, by when will it be rectified and they told me it will take another 1 Month. I was surprised Y$#%^#$%^%$,... Effiency of an airline... I then asked them.. will you not loose business.., Then y told glady that they have lost a lot of business.
I then ,,, tried to book on the Internet and the website told me seats unavailable ... I then tried 5 Hours later and it booked a ticket for me...
Lets wait and watch .. How will the flght be,,,
I think I may cancel my ticket... Because cheap tickets does not mean cheap Passengers....

I had a similar experience with Air deccan. I had booked my tickets on Mar 8 thru internet. They had charged my credit card but when i called them up they said that the seats are not confirmed for you and the charges would be reverted back in 3 days. Now when i see my statement that is generated around 10 days later i see those charges are still there and there is no body in air deccan to respond back to my queries. There was a straight reply from the Air deccan call centre that you talk to the refund department.Also the call centre employees were not ready to take my questions and transfer my calls to their superiors stating that there is no superior above them. I am ready to give further evidence/proofs of this transaction.

Please do some sting operation on Howrah Railway Reservation Counter. There is the goondaism of Local Bengali Babu Staffs and the Local unauthorised Travel Agents. It is really horror to get reservation there. If you can do something, it would be of great help for common people. Thanks
