If you are earning Rs. 500/house doing domestic service, work in 5 houses like all other maids. Or marry someone with money. If an educated person like this cant find a better paying job in India, go to another country and live on their charity. If you spend less time running to embassies maybe you can find the Indian Dream.
Noone needs to run over themselves trying to help these people. Americans are killing themselves trying to stop Iraqi insurgents. If these people give up violence, they could easily be richer than Indians with all the OIL in their land. Most middle eastern people think Indians (muslim included) are poor because they are lazy/stupid. Let us elevate ourselves first.

UNHRC should speed up the processes, meanwhile our country grants billions of dollars for the help of war torn countries, from which we can reserve a few millions for helping such cases. We can not just leave them on streets whereas sending billions to their countries, when they very much need it here.

What did Indian's do when Kashmiri Pandits were forced to leave Kashmir. Nothing at all! But by the grace of God they fought back for their survival on their own. I would advise these poor Iraqi's to stand up and get going on their on. Don't depend on anybody. Use ur education as a tool to create ur destinity. We Kashmiri's hv survived because of our education & hardwork only. Otherwise we would hv been begging in our own country which cares only for militants. Believe it or not any militant who surrenders gets a job, fixed deposit of lakhs of rupees and all cases against these killers are dropped. Shame Shining India Shame!

I agree. India Has two Options. 1-Either project Internationally that they are with US and help war ravaged people as refugees and not give a look to the internal displacement of Pandits. OR 2- Help displaced Pandits and then churn out dollars to refugees of other Nationalities.
Its a pity that Indian governments look first to other countries' refugees and then to internally displased Pandits.

Friends, your emotions are clouding your judgements. Did you not notice that the envelopes were made out for the US, British, etc embassies. They do not want the help of ordinary Indians, a job here or your friendship. They want to go to a western country that will support them. Liaqath, Aslam relax & no need to bother your parents in Hyderabad.

If UNHRC already has over 10000 refugees in India waiting for as much as 20 years for resettlement by them, why more refugees from Iraq are being taken in India? India already is an overpopulated country, with over 50% her population among the poorest in the world. If those 500 million can find a living in India, including living on the streets, on their own without any support from the rest of the people, on what grounds can we provide greater preference to these foreign refugees from Iraq over 500 million of her own sons and daughters? I am aware that the IBNLive scribes can afford to defame her own country by such stupid statements and headlines, as they live on doles of India's enemies within and outside the country. But the people of India who feel for her own poor, and care for them, will not like to give greater preference to a foreign population, howsoever, badly they have been hurt by US & UK. IBNLive should make US & UK responsible for these refugees, and ask their embassies in India, to pay for the cost of their support in India, till these countries are willing to provide shelter to them after destroying their country and their lives in Iraq. Will these agents of foreign countries like US & UK in IBNLive do their duty towards their own country, instead of badmouthing her?
