Anup First of all I see that most people commenting here are entirely or partly ignorant to the game - just like our Charu Sharma.. poor soul got sacked and we are having a gala by slinging mud at each other!!! Bollocks! ... Somebody commented about shaun pollock being an aussie now that needs reprimanding boys!! Before commenting on this forum most of the people here need basic education and communication! All in all Mallya being an entrepreneur must have made a half witty decision contemplating on the future strategy... lets not tell him off until we see the results hereafter!

Bala K Karibandi Charu Sharma's sacking presents a sad reading and as I can see it, is a competent professional and did an excellent job in his chosen field. As a TV presenter he was extraordinary, with a great grasp of the subject and had smooth presenting style. Bangalore team itself was doomed and one need not be a cricket genius to understand Bangalore Royal challengers do not have the the necessary ingredients to make it in a 20-20 competition.

Rahul Dravid's choice as a captain shows lack of fundamental appreciation of requirements and demands on 20-20 stage. With due appreciation to Dravid's contribution to India's Test cricket in the last decade or so, it is easy to see that he has become too lethargic at the rate at which he scores even by test standards, and the need to make technical changes to his batting style. After leaving the captaincy mantle, the Indian fan found Dravid to be withdrawn and brooding. His scoring at a very decent clip in the last match for a lost cause, was hugely uncharacteristic and un-dravid-like and could be guessed to be a product of severe franchisee pressure. Nor Dravid has the required flamboyance or aggression necessary to take chances in different match situations to back the team when needed.

Dravid is a test 'Icon' and a fine gentleman surely but singularly unsuitable to lead a 20-20 team and to expect match winning contributions in slam-bang style is unrealistic and 'cruel'.It is not in his DNA. It is the franchise situation of their own-making and is a result of a 'bad' team selection and to execute the CEO for this, is to say the least, ridiculous

RRK Excellent. Good start.
Time for action at Chennai Super Kings.
Dhoni has clearly proved that expatriates are real leaders and captains.

Vivek Dear Mr. Mallya.....owning and running a Cricket team, and an Airline are 2 very different things....despite numerous "Guest" complaints have you sacked your airline CEO ? You had choosen a cricket commentator for a CEO - just shows how much you actually know about the game.....and if you did not select him then sack the person who did ! What next if you are knocked out of the tournament will you put the team up for sale ???????

supporter of "THE WALL" I think its not any individual's fault....i mean niether the coach, the captain n the CEO. And Mr. mallya, commenting on the team's effort is not at all gud. u just have to see the match but after all its the players who have to sweat and work.have u ever seen that???and lets talk about the WALL. he tried his best to save the game by scoring 66.but other plyers should also support him.after all cricket is all about sportsmanship and unity. so instead of firing the CEO,he should support his team and thus raise their morale.

Balagopal kannampallil First of all who made Charu Sharma the CEO of RC and for what? What more can we expect from a man who is totally alien to cricket. What he knows about the situaution a player faces when he goes out to the middle? Just sitting on the sidelines after mugging up the theories and commentating doesn't mean he is the master.
I totally welcome the move of sacking him from the side. I also feel that bringing in a replacement CEO won't do any wonders. Instead the whole team should be revised bringing in some aggressive players who have the nerve to turn the tables around in any pressure situations. The Royal Challengers are written off by every cricketing fans only because of the lukewarm approach of the players. So if a players like Dravid, Jaffer or Kallis is not performing continuously, let them sit out and warm the bench and let a young player come in a play his natural game. Take Shane Warne as the example who promotes young talents like Ravindra Jadeja and Swapnil Asnodkar. Hats off to him. So Dravid and Malliya high time you people use your brains.

Syed Mubasir Akheel I don't understand where Tendulkar came in between all this. People like to drag big names like "Tendulkar" or "Amitabh" to increase the reach of their views (comments), I guess.

Sandeep The Indian Veterans Sachin Tendulkar,Saurav Ganguly ,Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman should learn from Shawn Pollock, Adam Gilcrist and Shane Warne. It is not that pollock and company are bad for international cricket as they have proved in IPL. Still they retired from International cricket paving way for youngsters. The Indians should also take a cue from them and not stick back to team blocking youngsters just by saying that we have some more years of international cricket left in us.

Chaitanya Deshpande Aren't we over reacting...??? Its just 20-20... its not as serious as a test match....all u need in 20-20 is luck..skills don't count that much....

RAJIN L Dear Vijay Mallya,

Until unless you sack that David boy, you will never succeed in your future games. This is a fact, because Rahul Dravid is a useless Indian player one can rely on.

Appoint some Aus or even Pakistanis to get good results. eg., take the case of Mumbai Indians, the moment they have appointed shaun Pollock (Australian), they started winning the game. I pray that, Sachin wont come back to Mumbai Indian to spoil their winning spree.

Think about it and good luck
