First part, how was the message classified "obscene" or "derogatory"? Second, the forum posted is an online forum, where there are laws concerning privacy... Truly, Indian democracy needs a health checkup. This news goes on for sometime, and the poor guy is ultimately "pardoned" for no crime he committed. All these is done for cheap publicity, and people take it like a carrot. I think criticism of any government is present in any democracy, and the fact is that Ms.Gandhi, though a proud person, still has a somewhat a shady public image. It's time the Congress gets to introspecting and fine tunes its PR machinery.

Don't Pune police have better things to do like handling REAL crime instead of dealing with someone's opinion?

truth
is this action notoriously motivated by congress workers themselves, or how about congress putting pressure on police to take action by trying to catch the law enforcers in the wrong foot...much to think about...isnt it ?. Still we see such petty things being handled by law enforcers to the best of their ability? Do all the indians need to come together against such notorious practices ????
The above are some things to ponder about, and think towards making india a safer place to live or is it towards leaving india for a safer place.!!!!

SARTHAK MOHANTY
After his arrest I am ashamed to say that India is the world's largest democratic country where the right to freedom of expression is reserved only for politicians and the aam admis are being deprived of this. Are we living in Pre-Independent India? Shame on these politicians who are hell bent upon ruining this country?

Just amazing! The congress are increaingly behaving like dictatorship countries, where even the basic freedom of speech and expression about the ruling regime is curtailed, and people arrested for speaking their mind. Congrtulations, Congress! Your leader has now joined the list of world-famous dictators that terrorized their people, and denied them basic right - Stalin, Mao tse Tung, Saddam Hussein, and your own "friendly" neighbour, Musharaff.

India Shining??!! What do you get when all the brains leave the country?? you are left with brainless ppl. And like they say the "one eyed man is the king of the blind country". This is what democracy will come down to. If I was Sonia Gandhi, I would rap the congress worker's knuckles, release Vaid, talk to him make him understand the differences or get to know his problems and take notes. There will be people with some difference of opinion.
Celebrities like Salman khan who ran over and killed scores of innocent people in sleep in a drunken stupor are scot free. The congress workers should get their priorities right!! I'm sure after they read this, they will come after me now ..I'm changing my name, my address and sending my people to more peaceful country.
India Shining ??!! not unitl you have special interest politicians..
BTW.. could someone cover the pothole next to my school? Its been open for the past 18 years!!!

Poor congressmen!
They are finding such cheap opportunities to please madam, cowerd people !
If you really have courage and self respect then try to touch Narendramodi, Bal Thackrey or enemies of nation. You are so weak so you know can't do that, there are no gutts so you are trying to earn cheap publicity by using such small, innocent people.
Shame !

There goes the right of speech! Another step closer to being China in terms of rights of speech.
Why is it that someone calling Narendra Modi as a merchant of terrorism is not arrested on the same pretext?
Orkut is for a bunch of teenagers and 20 somethings who join the networking site for the sake of venting frustration too! If someone hates Sonia Gandhi, why should he be stopped? Its an unfair policy towards orkut. Just because Orkut is popular doesnt mean that you go attacking the ones using orkut! There are many other ways for people to resort to slandering and it is impossible to catch hold of those guys.
Why are these youngsters arrested for slandering (without giving them a warning?). Many people wont even remember (after a few days) what they have written on a community.
