Anything can happen anywhere in this world no need to get hyper on matter like this. Gun laws in India are strict enough to prevent this from happening. And if they get guns man there's gonna be hell to pay

Psychos are everywhere in the world. But in the USA psychos have access to guns so imagine what will be the consequences. Even if US stops immigrants it is not a problem to India. These americans cannot write programs.

Virginia Tech incident is unfortunate, but one-off case. How about Karamveer Gill incident in Canada in the recent past? 12 terror attacks have taken place in India in the last 13 years. Does it make India a better place than USA. People die in India of contamination and official neglet. These NEVER ring worry signals in the media !!!!

We have been hearing incidents in Army in the past years (jawan killing officers etc.,). This can happen in any place in the world. But as such we should not overblow this issue in indian context.

Such things wont happen here in our counrty as people are more sane and have a lot more self control over emotions.

The Professor who was shot dead left India in 1978. He is an American. Did he have worries for India in the past 29 years? Should India worry for him now?
Other Indian victims who were students, would have stayed there after graduation and eventually become Americans. People who leave India and go abroad go in search of something that they can't find in India. And with good comes the bad. I don't see why India should worry about individuals who don't worry about India!!!

Why not? We are following same education system, the same 'modernity', then why not such incident? Has anyone heard any incident like 'student killing his teacher' in Bhartiya samaj before Changez khan or Tamoor invaded India? The deterioration of India's education had started with Macauley and it was this 'Great social Reformer' Ram Mohan Roy who supported Macauley's education system. So now, no one, in the race of 'modernity'' realising where we (Bharitya) are heading, incidents of shoot out in college campuses are bound to happen. The murder of Prof. Sabbarwal was just a beginning...

Just about the same time as the guman was on a shooting spree at VT, there was a similar but less violent incident at Kakatiya University in Andhra Pradesh. Five professors were dragged and beaten up mercilessly out by a few sudents who had failed in their Physics practical exam. The University like others in the state is split on caste lines like Kamma vs Reddy community. It's only a matter of time somoeone gets hold of a gun and goes on a shooting spree at KU.
