Chan first, this boy doesn't speak in american accent. second, people who remember their previous lives remember a lot of their identity (name, place, family, etc.). here this guy is just trying to pull off a cheap publicity stunt.

Sanal Edamaruku is just another lunatic. It is common knowledge that science cannot explain everything around us. He was also around explaining Gods drinking milk with 5th grade surface tension theory. Though he science did not explain why it only happened on one days and not everyday.

On the other hand Sunita Chabra also did not do justice to astrology. people do not go to astrology to get psychological solace.

Sanal Edamaruku's assertion that "if everything is pre-determined what is the reason for then doing anything", shows his lack of understanding of Karma doctrine. I will advise him to read some good source on Gita or best watch the relevant Gita episode on Mahabharat serial.

lastly, friday the 13th is a western (christian) supersition and not a Hindu superstition.

Anurag Yadav First try to understand what is life? Acccording to JD Watson" Its a grop of cells which are yours for a while". But we cannot creat a life just by arranging group of cells. Something is still missing. Perhaps that cant be explained with science.Dont follow old mythological literature but think for yourself. From where the life originated? You will be left with no answer....
Since we have no explaonation what is life we can not state such events as superstition. If someone says this as superstition, he simly is revealing his short sightedness.

RAMASWAMY VENKATESAN Ask that rationalist, what is he. Whether the HE refers to his body or something else. That something else what is it . why is it that the body of his over the years gets decayed, but the HE in him never decayed .Ask him why his thought process is slowly getting diminished ( i.e the retetnion power ) But what is that the HE in him , which is very special and independent of the body , right from his birth has not decayed. Ask him to soul search answers for this. Mere rationalism may not be useful in understanding these things.

Right Thinker Will these so called rationalists explain one thing? If there is no such thing as rebirth based on past deeds, then why are not all people born equal? Some people are born healthy, some unhealthy, some handsome, some ugly, some in rich families and some in poor.On what basis has God created them?Just like that?If reincarnation is a superstition, then there is only one birth for any being, which cannot be the case.We have several instances where paraphsycologists have proved the reincarnation theory. If any person has still any doubt,I would advise them to read a book "Many masters,Many lives"written by an American doctor who had a hands on experience with a patient who claimed of having 346 births. The last two births were verified and found to be true.

saachi science always says it's a blind belief which cannot be solved by it...
if reincartation is false then whole chrisitnaity is false

Mandeep We so called Rationalists try to understand things like rebirth, incarnation with an intellect which is limited to external senses and Intellect required to understand these things which are beyond physical cannot be supported by Intellect which relies on Intellect. We all can discuss and argue with our limited intellect , but we would reach no where. If some one has to understand these things and other things which are beyond physical , one has to awaken his spiritual intellect and that can only be done by first realising that an individual's Truth is that he or she is a soul in reality before he is a body. And this can be achieved by following teachings of mystics/saints which are the essence of each religion but now lost in rituals. Look for a living Krishna,Guru Nanak,Prophet Mohammad,Christ if you want to awaken your spiritual intellect. There is no shortage on almighty's side that he has stopped sending more saints to this earth. you got to search one for yourself.

Karafvadi Raghava Rao There is a difference between Belief and superstition. Hindus believe that Ramayana and Mahabhartha happened actually some lakhs of years back.Hindu and Christian Religions believe the Rebirth(Punarjanma)theory. But now there is exploitation in the name of religion which is bringing bad name to the Religion itself.Nobody can remember the previous birth.Bhagavadgitha says that just like the used dress is changed and new one is worn the individual leaves the old and decayed body and enters into new one.Wordsworth in his ode to to the memories of childhood says that the child when is born will have the remembrances of his previous existence but as he grows and start recognizing his mother and environment the old memories will fade away. Some child prodigies may be there. but it is difficult to believe the reincarnation theories. Moreover the religion itself says the man or woman or animals after death in the next birth can take any form depending on their deeds in their previous birth.

Hrishi The Rationalists' argument is silly. Traditional Science (Physics and its branches) never make a serious attempt to understand any realm other than the physical - they are hard put to explain life itself leave alone consciousness and language. So an intelligent argument can never be made by talking of Physical Science as Science...When we discuss mysticism let's grow up. Occult or superstition has nothing to do with this - I invite you all to a more intelligent disucssion on this where there such terms as mysticism and science are properly defined before they are bandied around
