Nothing wrong at all! It is in cash now not only here but in other states also; and officially lakhs of gas cylinders, TV sets, dhotis, sarees, dinner sets are being distributed and the Election Commission is able to do nothing; huge money spent has to be realised; the Ministers concerned will ask all concerned to keep their head the other side on many "occasions"; big suitcases mut have been in great demand/use for obvious purposes! The realtors, coal mafias etc. also play great financial roles in all such shady goings-on; legal cases will take decades to give verdicts;

I wish Election Commission, Income Tax department and even judiciary consisting of judges must have a joint meeting based on media reports to tackle the problems. It is ridiculous to wait for complaints. Unless such action is taken povertyy can't be reduced and gets increased only as rich people become richer at a fast rate. B S GANESH BANGAORE

The Reddy and Cheddy has to be controlled. Ex CM was sucessful to certain extent to put Brake on these Mining mafia. But somehow this Reddy managed to distract the people by making 150cr allegation.
Most of the Mining MAFIA candidates are from BJP, since these guys are funding entire BJP Campaign, Other leaders are voiceless againest these Reddys.
Janardhan reddy is planning to become CM after 1 year of BJP rule, by toppling Yediyurappa.
Hope the Voters will make a concious effort to save Karnataka from Mining mafia and BJP
God Help Karnataka if BJP comes to POWER.

The Great Khali
If this report is true, then what is the Election Commission doing about it? Is it not illegal to buy votes for money? Or are they waiting till an 'official complaint is lodged'? Or has the Election Commission been paid to turn a blind eye? Who will answer? What is the ultimate purpose of such reports? If it's to uncover the dirty side of Politics, then the EC should respond. If it's to flaunt the ugly underbelly of money power in politics, then it's such a shame that we continue to believe that we are a democracy. Indian democracy is at the mercy of money power and it's all done in the open.
