shekar Calamities happen, sometimes natural and manytimes man-made. But remembering it always does not help individuals to move forward, rather would always open the wound which in due course will heal. But these days, politicians don’t allow that, and media brings it into focus just for mileage and boast themselves of some awards and increase their ratings. This is the present tendency that is prevalent in the society at present. It will be prudent not to focus on incidents that stoke emotions. Everybody in civilized society should be aware of this fact.

Ramachandra Is this not a mystery that whole of the country is ready to help the victims, children in particular. There are plethora of leaders and activists appearing on every possible public platform, and the victims appear to be still in a destitute condition? One possibility is that the issue is being pursued more as a political and election issue than a human issue, by all. Can it not be raised to a human issue at least now?

B S GANESH Gujrat incident tookplace 5 years ago and even the victims have forgotten. Why should Congress, media and others rake up again and again. Why the incident of Indira gandhi murder by a Sikh security and Congress high profiles are invoved are not being punished. When a railawy coach having many innocent pilgrims were burnt, it is quite natrural for others to get excited and lose their patience and go an hammer and tongs. This is aspect is not beimng highlighted at all and only Godhra incident of kiling Muslims are highlighted. What is esentially required is development and prosperity of all people and not hatred for some and pampering for some others only to get votes and enjoy. In a nut shell India badly requires honest politicians free from the hunger for power at any cost and means and treat " ALL PEOPLE IRRESPECTIVE OF RELIGION CASTE ETC ARE EQUAL PAYING ATTENTION TO ECONOMIC CONDITIONS AND TO IMPROVE CONDITIONS OF ALL PEOPLE". THIS CAN BE OBTAINERD ONLY WHEN CRIMINALS AND CORRUPT ARE SEVERLY PUNISHED AND DEBARRED FROM POLITICS.
CAN WE EXPECT THIS?

Ibrahim Its amazingly shocking that the people of gujarat are gullible to the utterances of a criminal i.e. Narendra Modi. All the talk of development is utter gibberish. Nobody else other than Ratan Tata put it in better words saying that irrespective of the party in power, Indian industry will continue to grow. But the real question is how does gujarat fare on the social development indicators. Most of the industries being setup are capital intensive industries which run on technical manpower recruited from mainly outside gujarat simply because gujarat does not produce enough tech manpower. So the real gains from "development" actually go to a few business families. Other indicators like sex ratios dont paint a very happy picture either. Gujarat has one of the worst sex ratios in the country.
Its high time people call the bluff of the Modi government and actually do an introspection. The man's aides have been caught live on video elaborating the graphic details of his encouragement to the violent mobs.
And most importantly, i hope people realise that the majority opinion is not always the right opinion.
Its to get up and smell the coffee before it gets too late

Sridhar Please dont influence the voters thru ur communal card ,Please see the ground situation and the development which has taken place under Modi. Its been by far the most prosperous and developed state thru economic development. Its been a habit of congress making issue which dont really concern in these election Like Masood Azhar it was only one terrorist in exchange for more then 150 lives in the aircraft. If your not able to heal the wound please dont aggravate the wound. At the End Gujarat voters will have the final say . SP MALL Dear ALL Gujarati from Apanu Gujarat,

Gujarat, the land of rich culture and heritage, from where Mahatma Gandhi started his satya griha movement to liberate India from the British rulers is today rated as the number one state in India, our beloved motherland.

In just five years, Gujarat has achieved the highest degree of administrative efficiency and modernization. In fact, Gujarat has become the best-governed state in the country where regional and national pride is overflowing.

In India, the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, headed by Sonia Gandhi, judged Gujarat as the number one state under Narendra Modis leadership.

Unquestionably, we owe Narendra Modi a huge debt for his courage, dedication and tenacity in putting Gujarat back on its feet. Thanks a lot to his iron will, vision, wisdom, courage and eloquence, Gujarats exceptional economic progress is benefiting all sections of the society. Under his leadership, terrorism has been eliminated from the soil of Gujarat transforming Gujarat into the most secure state in India. He is Lion of Gujarat and he must be there on the same position as he is sitting right now.

Narendra Modi is known as one of the most articulate, intelligent, and gifted public servants currently in office in India. He has thorough knowledge of what is wrong with the country and has the guts to do something about it. How the country needs his brand of honesty and realism today!

Narendra Modi leads a fairly simple lifestyle; He owns no property and has no family to support. His Family Name is GUJARAT and can do anything for Gujarat at anytime any moment.

How sad that his strong nationalism, insight for economic progress and excellence in governance that unite people is lacking in many so-called "leaders" who misrule India today in the name of "Democracy and Secularism"!
It is important for Narendra Modi to win the 2007 elections in Gujarat with a sizable margin so Gujarats progress may continue unhindered. VOTE FOR NA.MO.

Saqhib Till justice is done, this issue will remain alive. Modi is popular, but so was Hitler. False propaganda can get you only that far. But then this is Gujarat, anything can happen. Modi might win, but in the deepest recess of my heart, I wish he loses. That would demonstrate that Gujaratis have a heart. Jai Hind
