“India has become a den of imperialists supported by Colonialists. It’s easy to commit a crime and slip into India and run away to west. It’s unfortunate that Bangladesh is almost surrounded by a hostile neighbor and its rulers do not have gratitude that they got relief from both sided Pakistan.”
My comment is for those Indians who are unhappy for their topography.
True Indians, please ignore my comment. I always keep proper respect to your great nation.

I can nderstand these moronic replies! the neighbors should become less hostile but instead we have people blaming the geography! It is not incumbant on our neighbors to be hostile may be it is a part of ones religious duty to hate india! i am sure it is! one should hate all idoators and non-believers to be a good muslim! Gandhiji white washed this religious requirement!

I am very grateful to CNNIBN, that it helps me to update myself on this serious issue of Bangladesh [our neighbouring country]. In these days many islamic countries are in difficulties wheather it is Bangladesh, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq or any other. Bangladesh and Pakistan both are facing the same problem.the army wants to control the nation they don't think about the people, who were facing several problems. In my view, the situation of bangladesh is same as that of Pakistan so the seniour officials of both the countries have to forget their own profit and think about the country.-: VAIBHAV SINGHAL, NOIDA.

Hi All, Wonderful news piece but extremely one-sided (Awami League sided). General people have been fedup with both the political parties, they did nothing to improve the condition of our country. AL has been a barbaric party always resorting to violence and damaging state property, calling hartals and significantly hurting economy. BNP has been looting and plundering wealth and land. But wait, everyone points fingers to the army? Why? The politicians want election because they do not want any more skeletons to come out of their cupboard. I urge the Indian government (if they want any good for us that is) and the Indian people to bear with us, be a little patient, give the Caretaker govt and the army a year or 2 and then start applying pressure. We will God willingly not become like Pakistan and democracy will come back to Bangladesh but in a stronger form.

Disappointed that my earlier comment did not get posted here. I criticized the article for taking a biased stand against the interim government... they did not mention the anti-corruption movement of the government and huge amount of wealth has been found from top members of both AL and BNP. The people of Bangladesh are fed up with both political parties.

It is a common scene in most of the Islamic counties, that the army alwys had an upperhand over a civilian government, whether it is Bangladesh,Pakisthan etc.The elected civilan governments have been overthrown and military rulers have held the upperhand. It is also a mixture of army rule and democracy in Bangladesh as in Pakisthan. There have been alternate doses of army rule and democracy in Bangladesh and Pakisthan. If both of them are not there, perhaps religious fudamentalists would rule those countries as in Iraq and Iran.

I also think that the we need to close the border with Bangladesh. This military government will promote more illegal immigration, people who will steal our jobs, change our demographics, refuse to assimilate, and increase terrorism.

I have just came back from Bangladesh a month ago. I was there while all the changeovers took place. I have seen how the interim government made a difference in peoples' lives by bringing law and order in the country. They have made some really bold decisions. I would ask the political leaders to shut up for couple of years and let the interim government do the job of cleaning the dirts that have been left by the politicians of bangladesh. The politicians had 15 years between them and they were not able to bring the change in the country. Most of the MPs didn't have the educational qualifications or the experience to run the parliamentary sessions. They were given nominations by after they made donations to the the political parties. We do not want these incompetent and corrupted politicians to be back in the parliament again. I think Sheikh Hasina and Khaleda Zia should shut up and resign from politics and give a hope to the countrymen for a fresh start. I would also ask the international communities to help and support the present interim government in their drive to wipe out corruption. Bangladeshis don't want to see the thieves in power again.

same should be done in India too. army should take over the power and kick out/shoot all the corrupt politicians who are merrying in the name of democracy.

No matter how much corruption in our country, we have to be greatful of what we have, a stable democracy. I would rather live under India's government system rather than China's any day. The fact that we can choose our government makes it worth it.
