more chaitanya i am sure everybody knows that the hair that they are offering is being sold. no body cares where their hair goes..the only thing that they care for is god!!! and its in the religion to follow such an act so be it. i mean what will the temple do with such huge proportions of hair. selling them will atleast bring in some revenue. i would request the reporter if this article to be careful when using such words as "commercial" atleast keep the religious sentiments of the people in tact.

bhanu We all know hairs are action for the good cause, and we believe in god and we hope what ever the revenue raised by action will be utilised in good way. TTD is already running lot of educational institution, giving lot of facilities on hill top including free food and lodging facilities. It require huge funds. This kind of funds are very much required. That's why people who offer their hair's will never quotion about this.

Pankaj No issues with hair being sold to cash in on the financial opportunity; but its sad that the money so earned is not utilised in uplifting the society. What do they do with the money? Do they start some school, run a hospital, donate it to NGO, sponsor some research? Thats what I would want to know, rather than this sensational story of hair business at Tirupati!

Some more research could have been done. Perhaps next time?
