more k.viswanath menon I think you have erred. your survey is incorrect. i do not know when you have taken this survey and howmany samples you have taken and the region, i mean east, west, north and south. as a senior citizen if my go to my earlier ages majority of Indians girls get married between thirteen and sixteen and become mothers between the age of 15 and 18.

Pranav Boo!! Incomplete survey. only targets 3rd world countries. If they had UK to the survey they shall find that they have sex at the youngest age. Apart from that how many people do you think honestly answered to this. Come on If I were to ask you when was the first time u had sex, when I am with a friend or someone do you think I will tell the truth. I will just make stuff up not to look bad.

Rajesh seth so what the big deal in it,we indians need other things in life first than having jus sex....in this survey u can also see the reflection of society , which is still on the conservative side , although what ever they claim .
but most important thing that i think bout this is that there's still a deeper penetration of so called "value system" where its always considered to loose virginity after marrige .and if u see india beyond delhi , mumbai or bangalore ....u can always find an india of 19th century..
with many traditions still blindly followed....

SO WAKE UP CONDOM COMPANIES U GOT A TOUGH JOB HERE....

Vinay CNN IBN is always keen to conduct all these kind of useless surveys, if not conducting...then publishing these useless results...do you people have any sense what kind of impression will it create in the minds of the youth..So please please stop all these cheap publicity tricks and concentrate on some good news..which gives happiness to people and not all this kind of useless news. We expect something of a descent standard from you people.

Praveen I think the title of this article needs to be rephrased. Its not Indians lose their virginity at OLDER age but they lose it at the socially accepted time which may when it comes be it younger or older. This is to prove that still in India losing virginity is not an animalistic habit but a social tradition.

Kalidas Sawkar The results corroborate with Asians having a very rigid mindset, high pitch emotions, and a generally complex personality. Consider their religious and social behaviour, politics and even sport, the approach to sex tells.

Indian well! its more of an innovative way of selling condoms. If they promote it through ads the shivsena and co will be up in arms. They cant protest a survey you see ;)
