It is essentially the poverty that mkes child labour prevalent!one way out is to still rigorously do propganda about population control with poorer section of couples of child bearing age 2)provide children with suitable work(appropriate to their age)to make them earn and pay for their food and work!only for say two hrs a day jobs like weavig baskets,painting jobs,book binding etc..etc... which they can handle

We have one word for Kalam. The Baby Sitter President of India Why he is always with toddlers..something wrong with him, or he sees something unusual pleasure with kids.
Some people from USA ask if he has some type of weired child fantasies in his mind, he loves children then why not adopt at least one child and show the love or it is otherwise. suspect

You are weird, Mr. Bali and not Dr. Abdul Kalam, to make a funny observation on our President. You should read all the books by and on Dr.Kalam to understand him. "Igniting the Minds' in particular is of great relevance for our country and the kids who are citizens of tomorrow and in whose hands therefore the future of India lies. Here is his passion for children and his hope, since ,I am sire that he is convinced about the apathy and set mind of the present generation when it comes to insensitivity to social issues, corruption, conspicuous conusmption of the few, the neglect of the downtrodden, etc, etc. Dr. Kalam is verymuch like and yet unlike Nehru and Dr. Radhakrishnan in his vision for India and the afection for children. Dr.Kalam is practical with his own imprint on various issues, be it science, defence preparedness, seularism, pride in Indians' capability and role India can play in global affairs, if only......! He is a man of perfection and to be highly emulated if only we can. He has added lustre to President's office sans grandeur by his informality, innate simplicity, his personal intervention for perfection, be it Mughal Gardens, training of Chefs of Rashtrapathi Bhavan in varied cuisine, etc. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam is a Raajarshi of the highest order and a gift of Providence to be President (unearthed so to speak, by Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Mulayam Singh Yadav and their ilk) and we are grateful. Hope and pray he gets another of Presidency for country's own good.
