Hats off to you Rajdeep ! Cricket & Movie-fans the world over should have simply loved & enjoyed this wonderful, lively interview and what more, on a Sunday !
An adept chap can make out that the Questions posed to the two stalwarts--one in the game of cricket and another an icon in the entertainment field--are all well-researched and maybe rehearsed a few times. Rajdeep, being what he's, a PAST-MASTER in this art & science of quizzing the mighty & hefty, carries it all lightly on his broad shoulders, in a lighter vein, too !
What's amazing is the QUICK REFLEXES of the two VIP-guys, as if they've the answers READY in their own cupboard-chests so that what we got is the real-stuff, not boney, fake ones; just note the pointed answer about the possibility of Dada being sacked as Kolkatta captaincy ..
For a show-man to face a PROBING VULTURE-like Rajdeep is not easy but he has done it all in his own inimitable style; even for the inconvenient, embarrasing queries as to his monetary stakes, losing the matches & not sacking the players, his own personal involvement with the team, entry into the dressing-room, etc, he has INSTANT RESPONSES, adding a punch or two, jovially without offending anybody. It's simply marvellous and no wonder his fans adore him, whether on the screen or off it ! Concluding, we get his icing on the interview: "I am the Cheer-leader, who's wearing long-pants .." Funny .. apt to the point ..

Yes, Sharukh seems to b a benevolent owner.Yes,he is doing all that he can to cheer the team.But it is early days yet.In corporate investment every Board of Directors has a certain period of gestation for ROI.The first year will always be a write off. But no one likes to lose-not only money but also face.Sharukh is a winner in Cinema.He will want to be a winner in cricket,too.Before the next season he will definitely take hard decisions.He has a whole lot of non-performers in the team.Vijay Mallya has read the writing on the wall(pun not-intended)ahead of others and expressed his feelings.Hyderabad will be next.GMR will be wondering where they are going wrong.Mukesh Ambani's czars are already analysing the next year's team composition.While the media group that owns RR will be laughing all the way to the bank.The one genuine owner is Zinta.She is the one people feel for and she is out there in the trenches.

Awesome interview. Big fan of Sharukh and Ganguly's personalities and their one on one interviews. Ganguly acted more diplomatic but Sharukh as usual was at his best. Good interview by Rajdeep too. Keep up the good work.
