D.Bose It shows that all the political Pandits and so-called highly knowledgable journalists are all wrong; they do not understand India as they are all educated in Catholic convents , St.Stephen"s and Ox-Bridge, they may not know even any of the Indian languages.
It is very strange how some anti-Indian practically foreigners have taken over all the news media of India.
That is the reason we always get false analysis, false forecasts and false recommendations.

kapil i dont think mr modi deserve to be cm ,because nobody can forget what he did in 2002, he has done something for gujrat .for the developmet, etc.but was it for all people he did partiallity where he wanted what he did for poorer people, and the development what he did was not at all sustainable,at last i want to say that he may be a good politcal leader but not a honest man.

Vikram Narendra Modi won because of his work. It is high time that the leaders should come out of the Godhra. They should think about people. That is what Modi did.. Results says it all...

venki rao The left might have contributed to the outcome. The Gujarati businesses saw Congress keeping wrong company. The left policies are basically anti-business. SO I am not surprised that hard economic sense prevailed over emotions...however much the arm-chairs might like to think otherwise :)

With people like Bandukwalla's forgiveness, the anti-Modi campaign lost the sting and the steam.

Raj This victory of Narendra Modi & BJP shows the people of Gujrats Verdict.
While Congress and its so called seasoned politicians are still harping on year 2002 events (including the media), the people of Gujarat have once again shown that its the development and JAN Hit that counts. Thats what Narendra Modi & and BJP have provided them in the last decade or so.

Congress just exploited them for 50+ years, like the other states. The joke was Rahul Ghandi's statement abt Modi..
