Though remittances have helped kerala to provide good education and health care to the current generation, it has also resulted in a situation where we have a state with cash rich people willing to flaunt their wealth for pride and a bankrupt govt who find it difficult to cope with the situation and running of huge deficit. Hope there's some way out for God's own country.

Kerala is not only remitting money with love but also spreads the message of international brotherhood to its core. Do you think it is possible for a keralite to think of anything bad happens to any part of the world. No, not at all, as their closed ones are found even in the remote corners of this world. Recently when Oman was badly hit by the hurricane it is the people of kerala who prayed for them. Same is the case with any other country. Now, the keralites know exactly what this universal brotherhood means. Let the world listen to the voice of the people from the land of god's own country to bring peace and prosperity to the world. The heartbeats of millions of keralites are not for their land but for the entire world. Is it not more valuable than the mere money they remit woth love? So truely, let's say, kerla "the god's own country" remits universal brotherhood with love.

The difference in Kerala and Punjab is how the two states are governed, and the attitude of the ruling parties to Industry and labour. Kerala has a vibrant workforce. It, very sadly, works only when outside Kerala. The average Malayalee, in Kerala, is devoted to his union, and will do no work, protest for every valid and invalid reason, and amazingly, even the government calls 'bandhs' against the central government, which runs on their support. In Punjab, the workforce is equally vibrant, and is willing to work in the Punjab, and anywhere else in the world. They do not shirk from hard work, are pleasant, neighbourly, willing to help in need, and have a ;comradely' spirit which the communists and congress workers in Kerala lack. Every Keralaite who has lived only in Kerala dreams of going away to make his fortune, but every Punjabi dreams of making HIS part of Punjab rich and fulfilling. Unions are fine, but the employed need to work. kerala Malayalees DO NOT work in Kerala, but the local Punjabi will slave to improve his land. Do you hear often of Punjab Bandhs, whichever be the party? I have never heard of it in the past. That is the difference.
