dipankar das Dear Rajeev,

I hav been an avid follower of your reviews and dont miss a single of your episodes of CNN IBN. but this time you have made a horrifying review of OSO. agreed it was a take on the movie Karz but then you have to accept the fact that this is 2007, not the 70's.

just by taking a huge starcast of superstars doesn't make a good film. this movie is a shame to indian cinema and if i m not wrong, no sensible movie watchers have appreciated this movie at all. maybe you should rectify your mistake in your next episode on CNN IBN. be a sport.

Hariom Sharma Dear Rajeev,
By far I have been following your reviews and have agreed with you by and large for most occasions and each individial has biases and errors in judgement.

But I am unable to digest this review of yours. Its glaringly aweful and terribly scripted and directed, complete loose work of art and shameless branding of product shahrukh khan.

I could not bear with the pathetic movie for more than an hour and in this hour I had cursed all the folks who trapped me to watch this movie.

I understand that media lobbying exists and you guys have camps to favour some and not others. But what hurts me that you claim to be independent and relatively unbiased and then you act like Shahrukh Khan's media agents. Do not make us feel stupid. Its too irritating.

Rajiv Sad, Mr. Masand - OSO is by far one of biggest let downs in 2007. I am surprised you have written such glowing reviews of an extremely pedestrian film. The 'self directed jibes' that you refer to are loud and barely watchable.

Patrick You guys, OSO is not a movie rather its a product well planned, produced, and marketed. All thanks to numerous promotions just suppport the fact tht OSO is good/bad product and not evn a movie.SRK recently got an award for OSO, its not best actor rather its entertainment business leader of the year. It ws given at indias business leader awards. If you guys hated the movie, you are like any other consumers who are lured by a company's attractive ads all over the place, in this case SRK's attractive ads. Now OSO haters can act like consumers and voice against "red chillies enterprises" for their awful taste which gave audiences who hatd the movie, severe side effects. SRK now don's a bad company's hat like coke cola industry.

Ram Dear Mr. Masand:

I rarely watch hindi movies and the few ones that I do, I strictly go by your recommendations. However, I feel very let down by your review of OSO. It was an incompetently stitched together mish-mash and an insult to the audience. I am sure you will agree that box office performance is not a barometer for good cinema and this is one example of such. But coming back to the point, I cannot figure out how come you have given this movie a good review? I would have said the following excerpts from your review of Jhoom Barabar Jhoom would have aptly fit this movie as well:

It's hard to believe anyone over 12 years of age was involved in writing the script. And the problem is that it's stupid. And stupid is different from mad. Stupid suggests that the director isn't in control of the film, and that's absolutely true in the case of this film, which is really all over the place, it's scattered because the script is so weak.

kunal this movie reinstates the fact that SRK is the king of bollywood coz how come a movie so pitifully atrocious been given 3 stars by a gd film critic...but sorry masand u r losing your credibility big time now...how can u applaud a senseless movie like OSO and call no smoking the worst movie of 2007...flabbergasted!!!

Mohan Time pass movie. No take aways from the movie - too much spice and masala but lacking in content. Looks like Masand has fallen for the hype around the movie.
