Shiv.. the gangetic plain is a vast one and in interiors of eastern uttar pradesh and bihar places like varanasi , gazipur, mirzapur , and other cities beside the ganges are facing this problemof turtle poaching. turtes play a great role in controlling the pollution of ganges but they are no longer allowed. nice job . kudos

first is case of industrial pollutants not proprely treated so , The UP pollution board nees to strictly ensure compliance
secondly is public awareness on not to kill the turtles i remeber there was earlier story on gangetic dolphins where some success was achieved by using local sadhus and pandits who educated people on the dolphins can CNN-IBN do this , and hope that we will get to see these creatures in future

This is a grave situation, the solution it seems is to control our populations in a mature fashion. This is not happening out of greed of few but the pressure of surviving in a dwindling world. Hope we dont end up doing something we cant roll back. The solution can also be addressed by firm govt action, but do they care and do the have the will.....?. This is also true journalistic reporting, where news is reported and not views forced down viewers throat.
