landrover brand is a cult icon and im sure the repeat buyers like me would avoid dealing with them once the brand goes to the tatas known for their trucks mainly that too break down too often

I hope the TATAS do their due diligence before proceeding..I just read somewhere that Jaguar cars are not selling ....however Rover is doing well...but then FORD is going to sell both brands as a package....good luck and look well before you take the leap

Kudos to Tata on their daring effort for planning acquisition of Giants like Jaguar. But Tata's should be foresighted enough not to go for FAME and NAME, but to check ROI. The investment should be fruitful enough to bring prosperity and happiness to Indian Society.

Tata makes us all very proud. One look at their history tells us that they're true nation builders - I'm sorry I can't say the same thing for Laxmi Mittal, Jindals et al, to me they're mercenaries.
Tata also spells quality & whenever possible, I've made it a point to buy Tata products. I wish a majority of Indians do the same.

World over, people are moving to smaller cars. If Tata's objective wants to enter the crowded market in Europe and USA with this takeover, he must get the company for a song as everything else in that company is a big liability. That includes the LAZY workforce in Britain. I've anyway liquidated my shares from TISCO and am not going to touch TELCO by a barge pole. Good luck, Ratan.
