The quota actually comes to @ 58000 after removing Singapore and Chile. Big companies apply in bulk (80 of total count was taken by top 25 appliers)and leave nothing for small companies for their genuine requirements and hamper their growth. There should a limit to nos for each company thereby providing all other companies equal opportunity. Also Big companies like .... pay very less to employees compared to their billing rates to their client.Their employees slog day and night burning the candle at both the ends(global delivery model) to get things done. They systems needs review and misuse of H1B program and exploitation of employees should stop

No matter how many US companies outsource their US jobs to offshore companies in far away places like India or China, Indians (and Chinese) will ALWAYS want to invade the US job market by way of abusing our H1-B, H1-C visa system, or by some other illegal ways or means. Indians are NEVER ever satisfied with the US jobs shift to India. Some guy on this site commented that the US does not want to return social security of Indians who worked here and were told to leave the US because their H1-B visas expired or cancelled or were laid off due to incompetency. Let me make this clear to the Indians in India that no matter who you are - be it a a US citizen or a non-US citizen - if you are working in the US, paying taxes, social security and other taxes, is compulsory - a MUST - required by our US laws. If you don't want to pay taxes or social security, then you are NOT welcome to work in our country. Its as simple as that. You can stay in your own country and work over there and not come to the US. Would you do the same in your own country - not pay taxes over there? Also, abusing our US immigration visa system is a direct violation of our immigration laws and regulations. The United States is a land of law. Nobody will be allowed to abuse our system - be it tax or immigration - and no one is above the law either. If anyone is found guilty of abusing our immgration or tax systems - as in illegal immigrants are presently - they will have to pay a heavy price - either be evicted from the US or be deported by means of coercsion.

Biswijit: Did you know the rules and laws of this country? Do you know how much H1-B and H1-L visa scheme is abused by Indians? I know plenty of people who are scamming to stay in this country by hook or crook. They illegally change jobs and scam there way into visa system. Indians are the largest illegals after Mexicans. Most of the Indian Illegals are highly educated folks. Your whining is pitiful. What you are saying to all Americans is bend the rules,laws and be like India where there is no law and justice. It's so pathetic to see that people like you who represent the best of India are blaming the country who gave you a job. Don't blame America for your vows, Americans didnot come to your house and inivited you personally to this country.This is so pathetic.It seems like your basic value system is upside down. You need to look at yourself very closely and evaluate.

I totally agree withe US senators questioning Indian IT companies for misusing the H1B visas.These companies alos abuse the L1 visas allotted to them.The companies bring their own staff to USA on pretty low wages and this causes the wages to drop in US market and the US companies expects people to work for lower wages.Also thousands of foreign students includng Indian students are not able to secure an H1 B visa ater finishing their MS beacuse of the Indian companies,to a great extent, and Indian body shops in USA.I think Indian companies should only be given L1 visas and prevented from filing an H1 B visa.

We are abusing this system extremly and because of that people who really wants H1B on fair job offer dosen't get job. Most of consultant file H1B with fraud experience paper. One of my friends got job on such fraud H1B and even after that someone else gave his interview over the phone. The consultant diverted his interview call to someone else who was experienced. One of my friend was BE in computer but he was working in gasstation since last four year and the consultant made fraud paper with four year of expericence in computer field. One of my friend's wife is MBBS from India and the consultant applied her H1B on computer bases (with all fraud paper).

such hyprocacy exists in that country only. as said social security deposits are not allowed to repatriate. they have closed manufacturing industries in their country and everything starting from biscuits to every consumer articles are imported from china but they do not blame china. one side they say that their children are taking up sciences courses in the universities. the balance of payment with china is negative in billions but with india it is a fraction and since we r soft they want to suppress us. let them start manufacturing industries by stopping imports from china. they r afraid of china as their capitalists profits will dwindle and their politicians cannot be funded properly.

Easy to blame on others buddy! Look at Mumbai where people from Bihar work as labourers for cheap wages. The local MNS party is protesting against those labourers taking away local jobs. what is it called ? Is it not hypocracy?

Nothing is fair. My Social security in USA is held back just because I've not put 10 years of work there and returned back to India. If the Senators are serious, they should ask Social Security to refund the temporary worker's Social security contributions. He would definitely have atleast 1 person who would never want to go to the so-called "Land Of Prosperity" and take job away from his Brothers and Sisters !!!

They can't change law ( 10 year work )just for you. It's same for U.S citizen. Even social security is only available after age of 65 to U.S citizen ( like Pres Bush, Clinton Etc,,,)and you are asking right now. So funny,,,, So don't worry you made enough money from U.S so your family can liver good life. Don't curse them.
