krishna It is disgusting to read such news thesedays.Moral of people has gone so low that they donot feel anything in witnessing the crime. There is not even a single soul to protect the modesty of helpless women.

amar True face of so called poor people party ( CPM ), this is second worst party in the country after Raj Thakare MNS. These parties r just power hungry in any cost.

Suds What a shame for a country aiming to be the next superpower!!

Tamal Mukherjee In West Bengal, the cops are basically ex-cadres of CPM party. They are still active in the party activities. Most farmhouses are own & run by CPM henchmen. The farmers are mere puppet in the hands of CPM leaders. Its impossible to break this unholy nexus between CPM leaders, their cadres and the administration (police). Opposition is helpless.

These days CPM even using media to spread rumours about development of Bengal. But ultimately nothing positive is happening. As things are getting out of control, we are seeing the rise of Nakshal (Maoists) activities across WB. Tough days are in the offing.

Prafulla This shows weaker side of we Indians as a society. We cant develop a sensible society of humans. We cant protect women in our society.

What a shame.

Do the people behind such act deserve to exist? Why not hang them?

Siddharth It is shameful and terribly shocking to hear or read these kind of news about women being tortured or handled this way where police are mere onlookers. CPM being a major political party in India should take immediate steps against those who were behind this incident. Its highly shocking to note that CPM party workers have indulged themselves in this cheap and filthy stuff.

Swami Vivekananda once said "All nations have attained greatness by paying proper respect to women. That country and that nation which do not respect women have never become great, nor will ever be in future".

It is horrifying to note that the state where this great swami was born, had to witness these kind of despicable and dastardly acts on women. They can never call themselves men anymore, these felonious people who commited such a crime have lost this status already.

SR Jain This is the real face of Indian politicians, be it of any party. What is worse they don't feel ashamed. Why go to strip club when your allows such entertainment. Will Karat resign? Will Brnda go to Nadigram and demonstrate againt her cadres? None of this will happen the shameless politicians of CPM will sight an ancient Chinese ritual, which permits stripping of women in public.

Muthuswamy Mr. Karat is coming to Tamilnadu to demolish a wall, which is shameful for him and me too. This wall is a divide between upper caste and lower caste.

I think first he has clean his backyard before getting into other places.
