tag instead of seperate organisation like hockey federation, BCCI, we should have a single sporting regulation body, so that the excessive revenues from cricket can also be utilised in betterment of other sports.

Dilip V.Nambiar On one side we have our women hockey team suffering in extreme conditions and on the other side we have more than one corporate and individuals bidding for 1 IPL team - SRK who has acted in the Chak De can atleast sponser the women hockey team rather bidding for 5 IPL teams!! Lets practice what we preach....

Prasad Thats really horrible! How can reserved rooms be given away! This clearly shows the picture why many Indians don't choose sports as a profession ... and the reason why we don't get much medals at international level. There is so much economy that sports can generate if handled in a proper way. Provide more facilities and incentives attract more talented people and you will attract a bigger audience and an sustaining economy can built just around it. We need to diversify atleast 20% of the stakes from cricket and provide it for other sports!

Vinodh Shame on the sports administrators & the Olympic Comittee. With persons like Mani Shankar Iyer & Suresh Kalmadi around..they dont have time to stop their fighting & how will they spend time in giving our National Players some respect & facility. SRK had made enough money from this movie and why should he be bothered now...if he is really interested let him give some money from the millions & billions of money he had earned from this movie. The actors who have acted have also by now learned the tricks to survive in the film industry...but our poor players...will luv to give some contribution from my end...but can any1 let me know the right direction!!! All the best girls...

vijay Its a serious matter. If Mr.sharukh is ready to sponsor a team in IPL why dont he do it for the nation women hockey team. Its not fair on his part. Cricket is like religion in India which can make money very easily. it doesn't need Sharukh to sponsor but other games really lack sponsors. Forget about all games why dont sharukh go to a poor village in India and sponsor all people with the money which he is going to spend for cricket. He can lay roads, give books to children, etc. I live in Germany and even today every month I give food packets to some orphanage once in 2 months.

Aju Abraham This is really very sad.. Even if its a ranji trophy(Cricket) match.. the players stay at decent hotels.. this is not a treatment expected from the authorities... imagine sachin, saurav and team blue coming from australia suppose to stay at a fine hotel.. but all the rooms are occupied.. would the BCCI ask them to stay at the wankedey stadium.. i don't think so.. what is the solution to this problem???? remains to be answered.. people are bidding to sponser a team in for the IPL...:=) and here.. :-(... I wish all the best for the indian women hockey team that is going for olympic.. i was thinking what should i do to help them.. at least i started the comment chain here..
